Closure - By A Deputies Daughter
Closure - By A Deputies Daughter
I met a woman the other day that lost her father. He had just retired from the Forsyth County Sheriff's Department after 30 years of service and two weeks later was diagnosed with lung cancer. To give herself closure she had this tattoo of his badge put on her leg. The butterflies were added because she asked her dad to give her a sign after he passed away that he was okay, and he sent enormous amounts of butterflies to his burial. Though this was many years ago, I thought it was a very cool story.
One of the things we always try to do is give a brotherhood band to a family member when an officer, firefighter or EMS professional is lost in the line of duty.
